Pastor Whitehurst's desire is to find and be obedient to his part in the triumph of Christ. Currently the Lord has blessed him with the call to be a husband, father, and pastor.
He was married to Christina in July of 2004, and was blessed by the Lord to be given two precious daughters, Meredith in August of 2009, and Genevieve in May of 2011.
Pastor Whitehurst is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University and is currently a student at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, of Louisville, Kentucky.
He came to Gatlin in December of 2010 by the leadership of the Lord, with the desire to shepherd this local body to be a place where the word of God is declared, His people are equipped, and His purposes are fulfilled, all to the praise of His glory. Lord may it be, Amen!
